The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP.

Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.

The people who need help are not the problem.

It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.

When someone shows you who they are, believe them.

Chuck Schumer has showed us time and time again that he is wholly incapable of understanding and meeting the dangerous moment we are in.

It’s time for new (and better) Democratic leadership.

I love that the reddit autism sub completely understands that autism is at least partly genetic and hereditary because all their parents could recite 200 digits of π.

It's interesting how infrequently this is brought up in media coverage.

“Kennedy would be less hazardous if he decided to do cardiac surgery. Then he would kill people only one at a time rather than his current ability to kill by the thousands. Why is it that killing a single person is seen as murder but killing masses is excused if you are a politician?”

My data-less take on the economy: the grocery store is a lot more fucking expensive today than it was even two months ago. Fast food is almost prohibitively pricey. Feels as bad or worse than Biden’s inflationary situation. Yet it’s a nonstory.

Holiday/Simon trade thoughts
#Celtics

1/n

The cap impact for Boston is only 4.7 m. So a long way to go still to dip under the 2nd apron this season. @ 18 m. Hauser’s 10 m for no contracts isn’t enough. If the goal is to get under the 2nd apron this year, more is going to come here.

My guess is that any Simons analysis that isn't primarily "it's easier to clear money when you're starting with a 26yo on an expiring contract than a 35yo with three years left" is missing the point

The takeaway from the Tucker Carlson Ted Cruz interview is that the American public has been so badly cheated for so long by the people pretending to be the political media that when anyone asks a basic follow up that an 8th grade schoolpaper reporter would it feels like cutting edge journalism
