Were techbros like Sam Altman required to take a history class in college? Did it cover the French Revolution?
don't worry, Sam Altman is confident that his efforts to eliminate vast numbers of jobs will all just sort of work out for the unemployed, eventually, possibly after they starve to death, which is technically a form of having it work out

Sam Altman Says If Jobs Gets Wiped Out, Maybe They Weren't Even "Real Work" to Start With
Worried that AI will destroy work? Well, Sam Altman asks if you've considered what a farmer from half a century ago thinks of your job, first.

Whenever I think of Rep. Andy Ogles, and I do so as rarely as possible, I am comforted by the thought that America has many nutcases and wackadoodles, and they deserve representation too.
This is a shockingly racist call by a House Republican for Zohran Mamdani to be denaturalized and deported. But instead of being viewed as unserious, it's now being promoted and circulated by LibsOfTikTok, Benny Johnson and MAGA regulars.

Democrats need to understand that Republicans are serious.

The Sierra Club got there first a half-century ago in its campaign against dams in the Grand Canyon: "Should we also flood the Sistine Chapel so tourists can get nearer the ceiling?" Except I think the DOGE idiots really mean it.
The DOGE mindset, perfectly encapsulated in one tweet. Destroy incredible public assets for a short term sugar high that would not come remotely close to ending the national debt

Schumer is the Democratic Senate leader for two reasons: He raises lots of money from Wall Street and he takes great care of the tender egos of Democratic senators. He is not "our" leader. He is the Democratic senators' leader. They. Do. Not. Want. To. Fight.
What the hell is Schumer doing?

This is our leader?

Schumer backs down every single time. This is beyond disappointing. This is betrayal!!!! 🔥🔥🔥

If you've ever wondered what the "again" in MAGA refers to, the answer is the 1950s. Who needs birth control, amirite?
The gutting of the Department of Education is directly related to the goal of increasing birth rates. Too many people are going to college and getting advanced degrees and not enough people are popping out babies at 22.

Unlike DOGE, the IG's follow the law. They don't abruptly and illegally halt congressional appropriations or lawlessly shut down entire agencies. So they had to be fired.
The IGs that were fired were qualified to conduct audits.

For Bondi and Bove, this is a win. They are driving out federal prosecutors who believe they work for the US instead of Donald Trump. They will be replaced by loyalists. If a Dem is ever elected president, the rot at DOJ will be deep.
This is an astonishing story. Trump's personal lawyers, now in government, are trying to find any prosecutor take on a case to stop payment of $20 billion in funds by claiming there is fraud. The fact that career prosecutors are resigning rather than do so tells you how weak the case is.

What authority? Trump owns Little Marco.
Among other things, Rubio should be raging right now. It completely undercuts his authority.

Poor Bill Clinton. I guess Clinton v. Jones only applies to Democratic presidents.
By no stretch of the imagination does this civil suit have anything to do with presidential acts or even the "outer perimeter" of his official responsibility.

They just say he should be immune because he's too busy to defend against lawsuits while president.

Every time a J6er commits a crime, Dems in Congress should talk about it. Every day in every appearance. Make it Trump's Willie Horton.

There are 1500 potential Willie Hortons on the streets. Donald Trump and the Republicans own every one of them.

The Dems in Congress can't win votes, at least not often. But they can harass, they can stall, they can hold the GOP accountable. They can raise questions about nominees like Hegseth, as Warren just did. That's the job of an opposition party - to make the majority's life miserable.
That's not weak, it's tactical. She didn't just do a worthless Susan Collins prevarication, instead she prepared a document with 72 pointed questions regarding his qualifications, behavior, and rhetoric.

Because AOC, great as she is, could not win in a swing district. None of the socialist reps have

"Maybe" shank each other?
He wanted to be president to avoid jail, prove he’s not a loser, get adulation. Diet Coke on demand with a magical button on his desk in the Oval Office. He could care less about the rest of it as long as his ‘ratings’ are good. The ppl using him are worrisome but maybe will shank each other.
