I was lucky. My ideation came after I stopped taking a med (at dr’s direction) and was spending the weekend with friends. They hid the knives, managed my sleep meds, and kept me safe.
...It was not. DH was away on business and I was alone in the house, and I woke up with a full blown plan in my head to make it stop. SOMETHING told me that wasn't right, and I called 911 on myself. They stayed on the line with me.

The advance listener copy of Ilona Andrews’s This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me is 21 1/2 hours long. I’m 45 minutes from the end and I’m going to go back to the beginning and listen to it again. I need the physical copy in my hands.

I don’t celebrate any religious holidays, but I do participate in the gift giving. This year I got some amazing books, which apparently even people who barely know me, know is the way to my heart. I’m looking forward to Jenkins July this year, and learning about Scandalous Kansas City.

I miss getting into bed and going to sleep. I haven’t been able to do that regularly in like 20 years, but I miss it. I had a long, exhausting day, but it still takes 4 hours for my brain to wind down enough to turn off.

I’m reading a review of a lovely sounding novella titled Eastbound, so naturally my redneck brain starts blaring, “Eastbound and down, loaded up and truckin’. We gonna do what they say can’t be done.” And then I have to listen to it 5 times before my brain will let it go.
