As soon as the Portland Frog became a meme, Jewish social media blew up with jokes about the 2nd Passover plague - tzefarde'a (frogs) - and the Rabbinical commentary around it. I knew I had to make a calligraphy piece encompassing all of it. (more in alt.)

FYI :“Destruction of federal property is a federal crime. 18 U.S. Code § 1361 defines the crime as willfully injuring or committing any depredation against U.S. government property. If the damage exceeds $1k it is a felony with a fine, up to ten years in prison or both.”

@wired.com help us! Canvas is down due to AWS failure and most of my students basically can’t do most of their schoolwork. Rutgers has sent no email even acknowledging the issue! I need the Wired take and explainer on the outage.

Resolution in Support of Academic Freedom and Free Expression
for consideration and vote at the October 17, 2025 RU Senate meeting
WHEREAS the values of academic freedom in teaching, research, and learning; freedom of
expression for all members of the Rutgers community; and the integrity of scholarly inquiry are
central to Rutgers University’s mission and are affirmed in University Policy 60.5.1 (“Academic
Freedom”) and related Rutgers statements on academic freedom and professional ethics1; and
WHEREAS Rutgers affirms faculty academic freedom for faculty, students, and staff “whenever
and wherever they engage in teaching, research, service, or the dissemination of knowledge,”
subject to standards of professional competence and ethics, and states that faculty “shall be free
from institutional discipline in the exercise of [First Amendment] rights” as private citizens2; and
WHEREAS Rutgers President Tate has echoed the University’s affirmation, emphasizing that
“Academic freedom and freedom of speech are foundational to the university”3; and
