So this is the game I've been making! Progress on my end is still somewhat slow but the art Roxy's done for it has been very much appreciated
After wrapping on sprites I was commissioned to do a cover art for Amaranth Eve I finished up recently

the most anti-LGBT+ government since Thatcher is also the government with the most links to paedophiles since Thatcher. what an odd coincidence that requires no further thought or inspection

To repeat.

--

And to repeat:

The political faction saying we must all have to log legal ID before speaking or accessing speech on the Internet,

and the political faction who believe transgenderism is a dangerous mental contagion that spreads by speech about transgenderism,

are the same faction.
Age verification is deanonymization,
Deanonymization is censorship.

The Supreme Court is now taking away your right to anonymously *read* a form of speech. If speaking can mean that your readers have to subject themselves to potential consequences to read it, how can there be freedom of speech?
NEW: In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court held that age verification for explicit sites is constitutional. The majority said it protects minors without violating free speech; dissenters warned it burdens adults’ rights and ignores First Amendment precedent.

Really funny how the ruling class keeps justifying infringing on our liberties with "we gotta protect the children" while bombing palestinian children, protecting a global billionaire network of child trafficking, and building measles infested children prisons

age verification is functionally a huge security hazard for _all_ internet users but the government will call you a danger to children if you point this out
“In October, one of Discord’s former third-party vendors suffered a data breach that exposed users’ age verification data, including images of government IDs.”
Discord will require a face scan or ID for full access next month

It could be really bad for Discord if Californians contact the office of the Attorney General to report the potential violations of CCPA and CALOPPA citing the recent breach from a few months back where 1.5tb of user data and millions of IDs were leaked, but who can say for sure?

my brother millions of metalheads around the world have been happily listening to incomprehensible Finnish shrieks and Japanese death grunts since we were teens, you’re just boring and racist

it drives you insane how much erosion of freedom is justified by concern for kids when the people who actually hurt them will never face consequences

I got an email saying that they cannot review email submissions, and only receive customer support questions through this form: dis.gd/contact

I would try submitting a complaint through there.

Christ I thought the point of McSweeney resigning was so that Starmer could distance himself from him, not so that he could continue to suck up to him. Sideshow Bob didn't step on as many rakes as this idiot
BREAKING: Keir Starmer’s statement on McSweeney quitting government

hope this means McSweeney is gone for good but I'm sure he'll come back in some form if nobody's got a stake and some garlic

Every instance of "AI democratizes the arts, you're classist and ableist and a gatekeeper for trying to stop it" is a slap in the face to the literally centuries of poor, disabled people making art on the margins and a crass lie in service of a machine that strips down and regurgitates dreams

"I had no reason to believe the known liar was lying to me" is at least something Starmer has in common with his core supporters.

Does the Dog Die is generally a pretty good resource for content warnings but god I could really do without the moralistic handwringing of some of the comments. I just want to be warned if an animal dies in (x movie), I don't need to hear how horrifying / cruel / unnecessary you found it

Underremarked that no matter how terfs / Nazis try to rewrite it, being a trans woman mostly means getting on well with other women you encounter out in the world and any awkwardness / discomfort comes overwhelmingly from men who get Feelings about women generally and what you represent specifically

Good god. We've spent a decade with the British media - including the BBC - claiming that the 'gender critical' movement wanted to 'protect women and girls'.

And it turns out Jeffrey Epstein was funding part of it.
I'm not being facetious. Epstein was apparently giving talking points to the people pushing anti trans rhetoric in the UK.
February 2, 2026 at 7:11 AM
As a writer, JK Rowling being in the Epstein files is a plot detail I would have outright rejected for being too unsubtle and gauche, yet in reality JK Rowling is in fact in the Epstein files
