it's just a bizarre and baffling split screen moving in a professional world where my trans status basically never comes up, and the vast elimination campaign with full force of government looming just offscreen of daily life but omnipresent the minute you log on

In the 5 months since I wrote this, things have only gotten worse, with adults stripped of their healthcare at a moment's notice, universities firing teachers & banning the mere mention of trans people, & Democrats helping pass further bans and the first discrimination & segregation laws since 1996.
It's just a sports ban.
It's just a bathroom ban.
It's just a healthcare for kids ban.
It's just a military service ban.
It's just a federal jobs ban.
It's just a university housing ban.
It's just a passport & visa ban.
It's just one Constitutional right.
It's just your status as free citizens.
