Prolly get canceled for this or whatever, but my take on "peak woke" is that we were never woke enough. Wokeness was and still is substantively correct: America is thoroughly suffused with white male supremacism and it poisons our ability to flourish as individuals and as a nation.
My take on "peak woke" discourse is always the same: that the people condemning "wokeness" were always a bigger problem than the things they were criticizing.
