Im in my late 40s, and im just flashing back to every ‘justified’ regime change and invasion for decades, every ‘weapons of mass destruction’ lie, every ‘evil communists’ trope bought and sold by politicians, journalists and people, and all the incredible suffering that followed

I'll be honest. I don't care if proposing articles of impeachment is an empty gesture that will ultimately die in the Republican controlled congress, I want Dems to do it anyway. I want them to put political pressure on their opposing party even if it's doomed to fail.
"What do you want the Dems to DO exactly?" is kicked dog behavior. Elected officials are not meant to do insider trading and occasionally give a 4/10 speech about civility. They are an expression of the values of those they represent, you're damn right I expect up to and including physical action.

i think what gets overlooked is that part of the humor and charm of edits like these is that you're perfectly aware that someone sat down and spent their own time making it. they chose to do something cool or silly or stupid or genius, regardless of the results

that human element elevates the work
Who needs AI when we had stuff like this? I’ll take photoshop edits over the slop any day

Replacing junior coders with AI is a deliberate decision to rack up technical debt: bug-ridden, sprawling code bases that are impossible to understand or maintain.

It'a a decision that ensures you won't have any senior coders in 6 years when you need people to fix it. It's eating your seed corn.

One of the big things i learned in art school was the rapid ideation process and how to work on developing ideas! Its HARD to do that naturally, you have to do thumbnals, test things, do rapid ideation and tiny idea explorations to find the right things. The process is part of the fun of making it

i don't want a unifying Dem who promises to return to good government.

i want an angel of death who promises the government the reconstruction amendments promise.

Was told by a vet that you can 'probably' perform CPR on a snake, and all I could think was...
a man wearing a party hat is drinking from a bottle
Alt: A fella in a party hat blowing one of those party streamer things that unroll as you blow into them. Whether snakes give a merry toot when you do this to them isn't mentioned in the scientific literature. Yet.

I feel this, deeply.
The problem is that I'm literally incapable of comprehending the world that exists now. I was programmed for a different world, and at this point in my life and mental deterioration, my brain can no longer make it make sense.

How am I supposed to lawyer when everything is incomprehensible to me?

<rant> i'm sick of hearing "side hustle." one job should be enough, we should not have to turn every gd thing into a money maker -- and we shouldn't need to. the prevalence of side hustle thinking reveals a flaw in the main hustle. let's fix THAT instead of being all "you need a side hustle!" </>
