Certain colleagues who claim to support junior academics & students, but really just weaponise this in discussions as opposed to genuinely helping, can always be uncovered by seeing who they support to get jobs, how they behave in work environments off social media, and how they handle feedback.

It's funny because atleast in Telugu society the old boomers still think CPI and CPI(M) are honest parties but like no one ever votes for them. Plus there was straight mass migration from them to the TDP once they saw a vessel to take on the INC.
in the case of Indian leftist politics, ever since the Nandigram incident of 2007-2008, the idea that CPI(M) holds any sort of higher moral authority is beyond me, tbh

Bob and I were among the hundreds of researchers that were supposed to conduct the 6th U.S. National Climate Assessment. Now it looks like they're gonna produce it with a few people and Grok? Communities need rigorous and accurate information about climate change. This will put communities at risk.
