Allow me to bless your timeline with a very contended cat, who is in the warm, has a sunbeam, and can keep an eye on the stupid birbs from inside today.

100% this.

The use of the word "biological" here is disingenuous. Until the current moral panic, sex assigned at birth (for that is what it is) was simply an annotation on a birth certificate.

It has as much relevance to a trans person's adult physiology and health as their recorded birth weight.
trans women are not 'biological men'. anyone claiming that we are is engaging in science denialism.

it is transphobic to describe us that way. we have changed our physiology using medical science.

it is an attempt by transphobic columnists, pundits, and politicians to erase our existence.

Labour are the party of business, unless that business runs a VPN, then they want them to go fuck themselves, apparently.

am reminded of the old joke: what did James Watson discover?

Sherlock: Level entry, my dear Watson.

This needs more attention: Zohran SPLIT the straights with Cuomo. ALL of his margin was from LGBTQ+ voters. Every Dem who ever said “we should abandon the transes” needs this shoved down their fucking throat with a ramrod.

And it's not just a donation to her sexy outfit fund; it's a bloody good book, too.
I guess this is as good a time as any to remind you all that I wrote a cool, queer book set in 1830s London with magic and class politics, which you can buy from all good book stores and online, and when you do I spend the money on looking like a hot bitch at raves.

It continues to baffle me that the Speaker of the House of Commons is seemingly fine with being told bald-faced lies because calling the liar a liar would be rude…

This is what I mean when I say that present-day covid denialism is right wing. It was a plan born of corporatists and wholly adopted by centrists and even leftists eager to pretend the pandemic was over, which should immediately give anyone thinking about it pause.
Remember how just a few years ago during the worst of the pandemic when we saw how the govt can actually do big things and saw that our collective health & well-being are intertwined, and then corporations got mad that they lost a modicum of power and helped fund a backlash of amnesia and fascism?

This is a good point, especially on the show of values. Transphobic policy making, at its roots, shows a disdain for human rights & dignity, a willingness to abandon science, the indulgence of bigotry (it is rare you get single issue bigots) and a denial that universal healthcare is a public good
Judging political parties by how they treat trans people doesn’t make you a single issue voter.

It means you recognise the litmus test for how those seeking power treat one of the most vulnerable groups in society who are also currently the easiest to target. It’s a show of values and a gut check.

My monologue whenever someone says “I asked ChatGPT”:
Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.
