I kinda hate the "imagine if" gambit, but ffs, imagine if this sort of evidence had been accrued about attacks on synagogues and Jewish members of parliaments. The prime minister and all of officialdom would be bending over backwards (quite rightly) to find the perpetrators.
Three years ago a series of racist threatening letters were sent to the Victorian Greens. They were covered in white supremacist hate, swastikas and explicit threats against my life and my family. They were reported to police. But as far as I know nothing came of it 🧵

Menacing letters sent to politicians bear hallmarks of Sydney mosque threats
The ABC can reveal two of the threatening, hate-filled letters sent to Lakemba Mosque this month bear close resemblance to similar racist letters sent to multiple politicians since 2022.

So why does the Australian Future Fund hold a $100 million stake in Palantir? And how has the company secured multimillion-dollar contracts and top security clearance from government departments and agencies?

This is a crime.

If you read the Board of Peace charter, you understand it has nothing to do with the American government; it's a private entity Trump created for his own enrichment.

This is an impeachable offense, and if this country were not broken he would be gone by tomorrow.
Trump: "I want to let you know that United States is going to make a contribution of $10 billion to the Board of Peace." (Congress has not appropriated this money!)

84 years sounds like a long time. And I know in some ways it is. But it's also not that long. I still have living relatives who were in the camps and who were old enough to remember it. This isn't abstract or ancient history. It's part of the living memory I grew up with.
84 years ago today, President Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, ordering the removal and incarceration of more than 120,000 Japanese Americans, about two-thirds of whom were US citizens. The Day of Remembrance this year comes as we see DHS buying land and warehouses for more camps now.

Been a day. I heard the Albo interview on Sydney radio this morning. Very interesting to hear him celebrate his government restricting kids access to social media, for the good of children, after saying that Australian kids stuck overseas as ‘the responsibility of their mothers’. 🗑️

How in one interview our Prime Minister can celebrate protecting Australian children from the interwebs, while saying other Australian children should be ultimately left stateless, because of their mothers, is just beyond me.

Anyone else like me pissed off at the ISIS brides treatment claiming they’re a threat to Australia while ignoring the real threat of IDF soldiers returning to Australia unquestioned? These women weren’t killing kids and unarmed civilians, IDF soldiers on the other hand….

Federal police raided Dissent Bar in Canberra and stripped anti-fascist posters off the walls under Labor's brand new hate speech laws. Not a Nazi compound. A local café with political art. This is what biased laws look like in practice. 🧵

Pauline Hanson has spent decades demonising Muslims in the Senate with zero consequences, but put an anti-fascist poster on your bar wall and the AFP comes knocking. Labor's first scalp under their hate speech laws isn't a hate group and that says everything.

I regularly see people wondering how it's possible that there are so many musicians and writers and film makers and artists from a tiny nation like Iceland.

And the answer is really simple: State funding for art education and artists. I literally get a salary from the government to write books.
I’m constantly astounded at the sheer level of artistic production coming out of Iceland. Novels, movies, music. Amazing.

Three points:
1️⃣If you can noodle around on timing and there's no urgency, it's a war of choice.
2️⃣Wars of choice require Congressional approval. Read the Constitution.
3️⃣If there's no vote, and ANY troops are injured or killed, the blood is on Trump and GOP hands, 100%.
