Late autumn tips from @suzannacrampton.bsky.social, planting a garden and/or meadow, or at least a part of it, with native plants in a way that is appropriate and biodiverse.

Plus the unreported cases in all the countries that don't keep statistics. These traumas are collective and individual transgenerational traumas. @robertbohan.bsky.social is right.

This is the fundamental problem of the glorious Anglosphere democracies 🇬🇧 & 🇺🇸. #Brexit & #USexit are the Janus heads of the same coin. Totally agree with kresten2.bsky.social.
The UK will need some kind of consensus for sure.

The UK also needs to become a modern day democracy.

We can’t have an extremely close relationship (SM) with a country where 30% of the votes can result in almost absolute power and where one parliament can’t bind the next.

Why make a deal, …

Compared to the size of the island and its population, tourism in Ireland is still solid. Since the earlier marketing strategies are now losing their effect, this could be used politically to clean up some neglected corners. This includes over-fertilized soil,

One way to reverse this trend?

Start bringing nature back to Ireland via major rewilding.

People will be ever less interested in visiting a country that's ever more devoid of the indigenous ecosystems that should make it special.

A tech billionaire mocked Pope Leo XIV’s call for ethical AI.

The post was deleted — but not before exposing Silicon Valley’s deeper discomfort: a pope they can’t buy or bully.

It also revealed something older: the Valley’s original sin — the desire to be God.
Tech Billionaire Mocks Pope Leo’s AI Warning — and Reveals Silicon Valley’s Original Sin
A billionaire tech guru openly mocked Leo's call for moral AI — and quickly backtracked after backlash. It’s a telling collision of Silicon Valley hubris with a pope they cannot buy, bully, or ignore.

50 percent off for British students, trainees, and doctoral candidates to participate in the Erasmus program? #Erasmus+ is one of the most valuable achievements of the EU and is definitely not a bargain in a clearance sale.
I have to say, this is earlier than I had expected. But if the UK wants to benefit from being inside the SM, it has to contribute.

As for wanting to pay half as much as others for Erasmus, where do they get off?

The Uk chose Brexit. Stop asking others to pay their way.
