dear bsky cyberites, why does this only have 3 re-skeets and few replies instead of a multi-perspective rage-storm that integrates historical perspectives back when human googlers pounded on ffmpeg?
Meanwhile on X, Google’s Big Sleep AI was called out by ffmpeg to kindly provide patches with their flood of AI vulnerability reports, polarizing security researchers between ‘not our job to fix’ & ‘commercial vendors should support FOSS they use in commercial products with dev help’

there's a clear delineation in Bsky "wedgie" skeets before and after a particular moment about an hour ago - a wedgie thermocline if you will - and I think that's beautiful

a bit o'buzz about an AI Suzanne Somers, but her husband Alan is quoted as saying "it was Suzanne's idea... She said, I think it'll be very interesting and we'll provide a service to my fans... She said, 'Let's do it.'" So now I'm not sure if it's OK to erase a lady's consent about her own likeness?

anybody who takes *any* meds - there's a good chance that grapefruit messes with 'em. So you can hate grapefruit for more than its flavor.
One of the interesting things about ADHD meds is that the grapefruit effect affects them too. Just citric acid and ascorbic acid alone will mess with them

Which means, if a person isn't aware, their meds can have wildly different effectiveness for no clear reason, just based on their eating habits

One year, my dad missed my birthday because he had to cover a baseball game. Or: part of a game. The end of a Red Wings-PawSox battle that had been postponed after the first 32 innings ended in a tie several months prior. The Sox won it in the 33rd.
The longest professional baseball game ever played

During a very-recent vacation in Lisbon/etc. only minutes after... um... a vociferous disagreement w/my spouse in a coffee shop as to whether a chair only centimetres away from a 3-cm drop was a physical safety issue, I looked outward to notice a rainbow-haired person amidst a sea of brunettes 1/x
Completely bonkers that on my way to meeting up with @uberbrady.com for lunch after his dentist appointment, I hear a name being shouted through an alley. "Snipey???"

*blink*

Sure enough, in a city of over half a million people, a nerd I know from infosec/defcon happened to be in the same spot.
