Still hugging prospects. Hallelujah Hatrack.
We (except @cyrthogg.bsky.social) don’t talk nearly enough about how sneaky good the #Brewers 2018 draft class is. They have 31.0 bWAR and many are just getting started.

1) Turang 11.8
4) Ashby 1.4
6) Rasmussen 11.1
7) Fry 0.7
11) Daniel 0.1
13) Olson 4.4
17) Andrews -0.9
36) Williamson 1.9

What the fuck?

Seems like the Packers would be a pretty good team if they stopped punching themselves in the dick half a dozen times a game.

Eagles have been throwing some very light boxes out there on early downs so far, so understand why the Packers are leaning into the run. They're just averaging 3.7 yards per carry on designed runs so far, which isn't good enough.

Freddy’s getting traded confirmed…

I had forgotten that the Brewers traded Williams on the same day that the Cubs got Tucker.

Not only did that work out in the Brewers favor this year, winning the division and the NLDS over the Cubs, but now they get Durbin and the Cubs don’t get Paredes or Smith going forward as well. A great day!

Right, but then a handful of really truly awful people wouldn't get to be billionaires, and wouldn't that be the real tragedy?
To me among the most infuriating parts about the healthcare debate and ACA credits is this would not be an issue if we were like every developed country on Earth and GUARANTEED HEALTHCARE AS A HUMAN RIGHT.

We'd pay half per capita what we're paying now, have more coverage, & longer life expectancy.

I was rooming with a Bears fan during the 2001 version of this. Every week got dumber than the last. Until the playoffs, at least.
Oh it’s going to be one of THOSE Bears seasons, huh

More of this, please.
US: “How to Dems appeal to Christians and not get painted as the anti-God party?”

DNC chair @kenmartin.bsky.social : “There’s nothing Christian about Republicans throwing 42 million Americans off food assistance, or kicking the poorest off of their health benefits. Their faith is empty.”

I've always thought this was a shining example of Donna doing masterful backing vocals, probably because she was actually able to hear herself instead of getting drowned out on the makeshift setup in an open field in Oregon. #RIPDonna

This is interesting, thorough, accessible, and also one of the best explorations I've read of why a certain type of man is the way he is
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

I don't think I've watched a snap of Badgers football in over a month at this point. I had stuff going on, but also just didn't care to even bother pop it up on my phone.

Quite a fall for the team that used to mean more to me than any other.

Hey, does anyone have or know someone who has a pair of tickets for the Packers hosting either the Bears or Ravens they’d be willing to part with for face/cost for charity auctioning off purposes?

We’re gonna do another fundraising drive and I’d rather the money not go to StubHub pricing.
