Trump says undocumented immigrants do farm work "naturally" because "they don't get a bad back."

Mississippi's Declaration of Secession similarly said slavery must be protected because "by an impervious law of nature, none but the black race can bear exposure to the tropical sun."

And if you take any of these, add ‘utterly’ before and ‘ed’ onto the end of the word, you get an expression for being drunk
If you want to insult someone in England you can just put words like “utter,” “total,” or “Grade A” before pretty much any inanimate object. Here are ten to get you started…

10. Parcel
9. Walnut
8. Flannel
7. Donut
6. Rocket
5. Helmet
4. Pancake
3. Hoop
2. Plum

Whenever Germans mistakenly think they hear German phrases in English lyrics, they’re sometimes referred to as “Agatha Bauer” songs. This comes from the 90s hit The Power by Snap! (who ironically are German), where many people in Germany misheard the famous line “I got the power!” as “Agatha Bauer!”

I support the US garment industry. I don't believe in making life harder for immigrants or erecting blanket tariffs. So how can we reshore some of our US garment manufacturing without xenophobia or protectionism? Here's my view. 🧵

I encourage everyone to learn more about this history and visit the Japanese Exclusion Memorial.

A Lithuanian equivalent to “there’s no such thing as a free lunch” is nemokamas sūris tik pelėkautuose. It means “the only free cheese is in a mousetrap”

We shall postpone fighting on the beaches, we shall keep an eye on the landing grounds, we encourage everyone else, should the right circumstances come, to fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall eventually retreat to the hills; we shall never explicitly surrender.

This was just delightfully zany.
It's Thursday and we need some levity around here. So, I bring you one of my favorite movies, PRACTICAL MAGIC. Not because of my decades-long crush on Sandra Bullock, but because it was the inspiration for a murder gone wrong and "Justin's Three Rules of Murder." This may be long, so grab some tea.

I decided to start a #thread 🧵 of stories about legal residents and tourists being (illegally) arrested, detained and/or deported by the Trump regime. I'll only post stories from serious sources, as rumors and conspiracies are really not needed in this authoritarian moment.

Calling my electeds today to support this measure instead.
A clear alternative to the House GOP funding plan is to pass my short-term bill with @delauro.house.gov to prevent a shutdown & finish work on bipartisan funding bills that invest in workers, keep our country safe, & ensure our constituents have a say in how federal funding is spent.
