I have a blockage in my nose so I'm getting about 60% airflow on the right side. Two different ENTs recommended the same minimally invasive procedure.
Insurance denied it as "experimental" even though it's been around 20 years.

Apropos of nothing, thru my spouse‘s job we have “ good” insurance. 5yrs ago, I had knee replacement &they made me jump thru 1 million hoops ofc (& we were out of pocket $$$$ too). 1 month later, they sent me a 5-figure bill for the full amount. They *retroactively* unapproved it & demanded I pay up

If you want to know why people hate their insurance companies, here’s a good one: when I was pregnant with my daughter they denied a refill on insulin for my gestational diabetes. I spent hours yelling at them on the phone before they relented and filled it. It’s cartoon villain level nonsense.

It was just pointed out to me that a recent update to the Bluesky client now allows you to block bots, trolls and chuds directly from their obnoxious comments via the right click menu, so I checked and sure enough, there it is (highlighted in the picture). Truly this is an age of wonders.
