I can relate to both of those statements (though no treatment for me today because work changed our insurance this year and so now I have no prior auth for treatment anymore).
Just think - treatment for 5 more years means you get a front-row seat to watch the hellscape for that much longer!

That's all before I factor in what I've been paying for Spravato on top of that. The other prescriptions alone are going to eat almost my entire FSA balance for the year.
After my planned Feb/March trip, I may be done traveling this year.

Work switched health insurance companies for 2026, and I finally sat down and ran the numbers on what my prescriptions are going to cost on my new plan.
Assuming I move everything that I can over to mail order (minus my ADHD stimulant), I'm going to go from paying $1500/year to nearly $3000/year.

Being an adult is exhausting. The amount of work required to enjoy a little bit of time each day just doesn't seem worth it. There's always more to do and the list just gets longer and longer.
