I need folks who don't have ADHD (...and no, I'm not saying this preschooler has ADHD...) to understand that even the process of initiating a choice will often start at FUCK. The limbic system is so sensitive to any transition or change or demand that it can so easily just flip to sympathetic mode.
tried the "give them two choices" technique on my preschooler to get her to choose between green socks and blue socks, and her response was to look at both socks and say "Fuck."
