Someone said Trump is both a pathological liar and incapable of lying and man that so true. Hes just flat out incapable of pretending that this isn’t about his straight up gangbanging Venezuelans oil. He’s so thirsty for the money he can’t even stop himself from talking about it.

If it is ok to capture and remove corrupt incompetent heads of state…

Snatching a head of state to steal resources wouldn’t be anymore ethical with congressional approval.

Yes! Good point. It’s a major advantage and I know first hand lessons are being shared. Im certainly and hoping and standing in solidarity!

But whew the weight of the New York institutions scare me. As a native Chicagoan who has spent *alot* of time in New York, NY bourgeois feels different man.
This conversation is so interesting because a main advantage that Mamdani has is that he got to watch Mayor Johnson go first. If you read publications like In These Times and Hammer & Hope, Chicago organizers are actively sharing lessons learned with NYC organizers.
I think people are underestimating how much Mamdani, even more so than your average elected leftist, see it as his top priority to not be seen as a failed mayor. He is not going to be another Brandon Johnson, I’d wager

Man i really wish people realized that that’s the whole point of all of this. It’s literally the only reason they went to these scores. They are working backwards from this and always are.
Well for his purposes, they have mean score difference by race so that’s a great measure

George Floyd was killed and academic institutions responded with a campaign of anti racist virtue signaling unlike anything I’ve seen in my lifetime.

At its zenith, I remember being at a small get together of black economists wondering how fierce the backlash would be.

I think we have our answer.
The focus on intelligence (and that's not really what the SAT measures anyway), rather than knowledge, cleanly fits into the eugenic thinking that defines the new right and white nationalism. It's all about the genes.
Like, not even GRE scores. SAT scores.

ah yes, the best way to explain and understand the world is by ignoring experts and practitioners and turning our attention to the “average American,” whatever that means
This isn't about democratizing the news. It's about elevating "vibes" and "feelings" to be on par with lived experience and subject-matter expertise.

Indeed! Jean Jacques Dessalines, for whom my 4yo is named, ordered all remaining people that profited from slavery in any way executed, the land was renamed Ayiti in honored of the slain Taino people indigenous to the land, and Soup Joumou was served.
