At the beach with my 4yo and he slid into this barstool to call the bartender over waaaay to comfortably for my tastes. Got me wondering wtf these kids are doing in preschool.

I stepped outside to gas up on this family roadtrip to the beach and i swear I almost evaporated. This might be the hottest I’ve ever felt. There is little parallel in the US for southern heat in July. 98 degrees? Bullshit. It’s at least 115.

If he sees me lay on the couch for one second this sicko makes me drive him to the batting cages. I always wanted a sports nut kid but yikes this last one has a baseball and basketball jones enough for all of my kids. Hes relentless.

When the 4yo was but a few weeks old, I could put on a football or basketball game and he’d stare at it for hours silently. Been a sports nut since in utero.
Not much has changed. When I gotta bring him to campus, I just play an old Michigan game and I can have all the meetings I want.

Sometimes it’s a bummer that the kids didn’t grow up in Chicago and don’t understand the culture, but one upside is when we visit we get do cool tourist shit cuz they are actually tourists.
