"I imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with pain." This James Baldwin quote is hitting harder than ever.

TV comedy used to have the DNA of theatre - multi-camera, unbroken performances, live audiences. Now it has the DNA of movies - single-camera, beautifully shot but lacking the energy of live performance. I miss "theatrical" comedy.

One highlight of the recent Paris trip was a couple of hours spent in Jazz Corner doing some proper digging. So many lovely things, this wonderful Sam and Dave LP amongst them.

The only rightful conclusion to this dumb ass ballroom is to hold our version of the Nuremberg trials in there, any potential treason executions, and then demolish it.

It's becoming clear now, the right's idea of free speech is more or less the license to be a total cunt without repercussions or shame.

I think albums shouldn't stop getting played because it's three months past their release date-- something that is getting very real these past couple of years.

I spent more than a year on this, while its subject being something I've been working towards in my albums since 2020.

give it a listen❤️
