🚨New on Phonautograph🚨

The follow-up to the first Four Way Hips album. This one's not recorded to a four-track, though.

Electronic with some Brazilian twists and big beats. I think it's a fun record.

If you like Cluster's Zuckerzeit this may be up your alley:

Today's thrift find. 1945's Jazz At The Philharmonic, Volume 1. An honest-to-goodness 78 shellac album!

One of my favourite ingredients. I mostly use it in soups.

I hurt myself every single day in the stupidest ways possible. I hurt myself on GARLIC ffs. I am the single clumsiest asshole on this entire earth.

What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

This album's so great. I think it's still my favourite thing Chick Corea ever did.

Today's thrift finds. A few Brazilian LPs but nothing super exciting and a good stack of tapes.

Was working on some Hank Mobley today. The first part of this is from his solo on Weeja from the album he did with John Coltrane. I filled out the last bit with an improvisation because I haven't learned that part yet. Its very sloooooow.

Had a very enjoyable evening of cooking, drinking scotch and playing standards with an old friend. Would highly recommend.

Drinking scotch whiskey and playing the saxophone. Fortunately I don't have to drive anywhere.

These might be the two best guitar solos I ever played on a record:

Years ago I recommended Antipop Consortium to someone I worked with. The next day she asked me "Why would you think that I would like that?"

Book's having one of his nights. Did he have any like this last year? The most fun I've had watching the Suns is seeing Booker go scorched earth. Feel like it was never that fun last year.

I gotta stop saying that I won't be going to any thrift stores for while, I'm just making a liar out of myself.

Anyway, today I picked up a Paraguayan harp LP and what is maybe a lost classic of 90s alternative rock.
