🚨New on Phonautograph🚨

The follow-up to the first Four Way Hips album. This one's not recorded to a four-track, though.

Electronic with some Brazilian twists and big beats. I think it's a fun record.

If you like Cluster's Zuckerzeit this may be up your alley:

Hey @heliomass.com, I figure you'll know the answer to this. If I have an Opus card can I use the rides I've already purchased to take the REM? Or do I have to buy special REM tickets?

The last words my grandfather said to me before he died were outside this hospital. They were "cut your hair, you look like a girl".

I still can't believe that Kurt Rosenwinkel said that Vijay Iyer was not a good piano player. Every time I think about it my brain just refuses to process it, I have to look it up again to believe it.

Country and jazz have been having a conversation with each other from the beginning. Charlie Parker loved Hank Williams. Every time Willie Cantu went to play up in New York with Buck Owens, he’d go to the Village Vanguard. The relationship between these two art forms has always been there."

I continue to be the clumsiest motherfucker on this planet. So far today I've dropped a full glass jar of sauerkraut on a tile floor and dropped this record while flipping sides, putting some big gashes in it.

How do you eat your pupusas? Do you knife and fork it? Pick it up? I saw one guy pick the sides apart, top them up and eat them like tacos.

How can you deal with everything in your world through music? How do you make sense of it all?

This is a cool multimedia piece about Expresso 2222 & it's influences from the Nordeste (northeastern Brazil)

Gilberto Gil composed the title track for the 1972 LP using strings, but took inspiration on the cadence of the typically Northeastern instrument.

Ok, been working on blowing over the Confirmation changes for about a week? This is where I am now and I think there's a pretty significant difference between last week's video and this one. I couldn't play at this tempo until today. Definite progress! It's moments like this that keep me going.

We were talking about what we wanted to be when we grew up and I realized that though I had wanted to be an architect as a kid, after I started playing guitar I didn't want to be anything anymore. I just wanted to exist to play music. Still at it!
