Whitlam’s legacy is one of possibility and hope. He showed us what a brave, grown up Australia could look like.
Whitlam showed us what a brave, grown up Australia could look like. And 50 years later, you have to wonder – is it even possible to make Australia brave again?

Perhaps this should be the @schumer.senate.gov

Time to chuck #Schumer, he’s well past his use by date and is a millstone around the neck of progressive #Democrats

I will not support the Republican bill that’s on the Senate floor because it fails to do anything of substance to fix America’s healthcare crisis.

Business lobbyists shouldn’t have more access to politicians than individual voters.
A dollar should not have more value than a vote.
Limit political donations to registered voters only, and cap cumulative donations per voter per electoral cycle to maximum sum of $1000.

Given the glowing reports about AI, and the fact that some of the outfits developing it are key players in delivering social media platforms to society, not unreasonable to expect them to use it to moderate content on said platforms.
But will they?
Not without world leaders regulating them to do so

We make no apologies for blocking Labor’s disastrous bill to kill FOI. The task for this Parliament is to make government more transparent and more accountable. Right now the Albanese government is the greatest obstacle to that.

At ~730pm (QLD time) tonight, I'll be on ABC Brisbane yarning about dingoes...
Dingoes ARE NOT domestic dogs, multiple lines of evidence demonstrate this.
Dingoes ARE NOT ideal pets, they require extensive and special care.
Dingoes ARE very important to First Nations peoples, and Australia's ecosystems.
This proposed change is a very bad idea www.abc.net.au/news/2025-11...

Queensland considers changes that could see dingoes in dog parks
People could be allowed to keep dingoes as pets in Queensland under proposed changes to biosecurity regulations, but experts say the native animal is fundamentally different to domestic dogs.
