Celebrating all of America's diversity - from Evangelicals to Communists. Let's build a better world before a worse world builds itself. Disagreement makes us stronger, not weaker. Power is constrained by the little piece of us in consensus.
Radicalism and pragmatism are not enemies; they're strategies that are completely compatible with one another. When the state views you as an enemy, the pragmatic choice is to be radical in your defense of your liberty and pragmatic in your overtures to others to defend your liberty.

I disagree, because I think that effective resistance or opposition require an authentic love of political pluralism, and these types of acts undermine the value of political pluralism in it's alleged defense.
if you want democrats to ‘actually fight’, imo a correct and necessary impulse, you should internalize and accept that ‘fighting’ isn’t going to be entirely inspiring speeches and Bold Stands, it’s also less pretty things like ratfucking the Green Party’s ballot access for a few more votes.

MAGA is divided. Real americans across the political spectrum know what is going on: Trump is weak and can't govern except as a tyrant. Look at what he does to churches that are just spreading God's word about migrants!
I think it's super interesting that there's both an admin faction which wants to claim violating the court order and an admin faction which wants to pretend they did not
Actually, the White House explicitly admitted to violating the order. Their claim is they don’t have to comply with court orders.

It takes 10 Democratic senators to force a caucus meeting and 24 to vote Schumer out of leadership with a vote of no confidence.

If you have Democratic senators, go to town halls or call and write them to ask them if they have confidence in Schumer's leadership. Publish the reply.

Housing really is a ‘decide if you want to win’ issue for the Democratic Party.
We're all going to be unbelievably fucked if blue states don't start immediately rolling back restrictions on new housing to create a construction boom and build millions of new multifamily homes as soon as possible

Yes, there needs to be recognition that there's been a fundamental change in how we interact with information, and our current democratic systems are built around information systems that are losing their relevance. I feel like we're at the adapt or die point of democracy.

My two cents: we don’t abandon the Democratic Party. We remake it. It’s a good party. It just has bad leadership.

The fight going on in the Democratic Party right now is not between hard left, left and moderate. It’s between those who want to fight and those who want to cave. And Team Fight stretches across all ideological aspects of the Party. Misread this at your own peril.

Democrat's biggest problem is lying about why they believe what they believe. Stop doing it. It makes you look like charlatans.
the thing about chasing what you think is public opinion is that if and when things turn you will have made a bunch of statements and taken a bunch of stances that you’ll have to disavow. probably a better strategy just to say what you actually believe and stand by it. anyway, this guy sucks.

The whole Trump media approach is “all news is good news”, which is uhhh a principle I do not think extends to people’s fears about price hikes
This is a great strategy to create content and the possibly worst strategy to run the largest economy of the world.

it's going to be a long, long four years of watching potential 2028 candidates blow themselves up by being stupid or incapable of meeting the moment. We cannot settle for this politics. We have to fight for something better, more authentic, and more representative of where the base is at.
i never cared for gavin newsome, he looks like and is one of the most evil guys out there and was always a fraud but him blowing up any chances of him becoming the 2028 presidential nominee is very fun to see

Rep. Zooey Zephyr - My Wife - just gave an incredible speech against a drag ban in Montana. It was so strong that a Republican rose to speak passionately against the bill, chastising the sponsor.

The drag ban dies in Montana, flips 10+ Republican votes!

This is the power of representation.
