Are we sure that progressives don't run in geographies that have weaker democratic parties overall, and thus are subject to lower WAR scores as a result of a secular decline in dem party brand loyalty? I'm thinking about how inner cities have been redshifting for some time now...

Yes, there needs to be recognition that there's been a fundamental change in how we interact with information, and our current democratic systems are built around information systems that are losing their relevance. I feel like we're at the adapt or die point of democracy.
