Democrats don't have the power to do this now, but every member of Congress and all the leading candidates for president should lean very hard into this message because it will crater ICE's already low morale, encourage defections and stop up their recruiting pipeline.
Some of the protest signs are similar to anything else you’d see since the start of Trump 2.

Others are directed at the concentration camp guards inside.

Three people were killed, six injured after an “elderly driver” hit a cyclist, lost control and smashed through the front of Westwood’s 99 Ranch, plowing into its ground floor bakery

I’ve been a cyclist on that street and I’ve waited for coffee in that line. Just horrifying

While also preventing ADA & HLA infrastructure that kills people. While also BEGGING for more and more money for LAPD so that city services & LAUSD loses more money.

Keep an eye on @raeforla.bsky.social for Mayoral changes in LA 🫡
Yesterday Mayor Bass said that the greatest test of LA is if people can actually afford to live here.

Ironic that it’s her own policies (watering down ED1, opposing SB-79, preserving single family zoning at all costs) that keep LA unaffordable.

Remarkable self unawareness.

SB 79 and CEQA reform were historic victories.

In 2026, we are building on them by reforming barriers to homeownership, addressing excessive fees, and "cleaning up" existing laws so that more housing can get built.

Here is a preview of what we are focusing on this year: 🧵 /5

@raeforla.bsky.social and hasan piker get it.

If you are (rightly) disgusted with everything Karen Bass is doing and feel like the mayoral race might be a wash, good news: @raeforla.bsky.social is running for mayor as the “Zohran of LA” so yes, you too can have Zohran at home!
Karen Bass refusing to speak out against Epstein’s friend Casey Wasserman is pure cowardice. An easy win to demand he resign but Bass doesn’t want to upset her donors, & maybe more importantly, she doesn’t want to switch her stance on the games.

Either way, cancel the Olympics!

True to form, power protects power. Casey Wasserman must resign, and Los Angeles deserves a mayor who isn't afraid to call for it.
"Ultimately, any decision on the LA28 leadership must be made by the LA28 Board. As you know, they are a separate and independent nonprofit organization."
