And what will be the final construction cost of the gondola and who pays for it? David Grannis says building it could cost between $300 million and $500 million. He also acknowledges the project’s construction and operation might not necessarily all be privately financed. “We proposed it as privately funded,” says Grannis. “We're still on that track, but we don't know what the final cost is going to be and whether that's still going to be feasible.”

ACECO's slogan of "Redefining Demolition" has never called to mind the demolition of Democracy, yet today, with ACECO backhoes plastered across news articles about the unexpected, and likely illegal, demolition of the walls of the East Wing of the White House today, I believe we are watching Demolition be Redefined in real time, at least with regard to ACECO's reputation. From ACECO's extensive government work, including for Trump's first inauguration, you must know that the White House does not belong to one man: it belongs to We, The People, with the National Park Service as its steward. I cannot begin to imagine what permits Mr. Trump may have cooked up, after apparently lying on camera in July when he said that his privately financed ballroom "won’t interfere with the current building. It won’t be. It’ll be near it but not touching it — and pays total respect to the existing building, which I’m the biggest fan of." Perhaps you are no more surprised than I am that the President lied, but this is a lie that ACECO is now complicit in, and will be forever associated with. From ACECO's extensive government work, including for Trump's first inauguration, you must know that the White House does not belong to one man: it belongs to We, The People, with the National Park Service as its steward.
