I'm fully of the opinion that for me personally, being trans was a concious choice. I gave being a girl a try and I turned out to like it better than being a boy.

The wife/whore binary is as essential to patriarchy as the man/woman binary and is created and maintained by the same violence. Men who are feminised become whores because they are useless as wives - the penetrated "rent boy" - and trans women are seen as an extreme case.
The flipside to reproductive exploitation is 'disposability', which trans women suffer from acutely but not exclusively.
