Usually, getting it off the floor

Start lighter and shorter, go for bodyweight/dumbell movements until you can handle the weight of the empty barbell, consume a shitload of protein and 6g creatine per day, never be afraid to drop back down on weight/reps if you feel like it's going to push you into severe ME fatigue

If you're using pacing as a fatigue management technique (lotta people with me/CFS swear by it, don't know how straightforward it is in practice), you probably wanna keep in mind that the normal recovery phase after a decent squat session is like, 4 days before the soreness and tiredness go away
November 22, 2025 at 11:43 AM
I'll say squats and dead lifts are magic, but they are fatiguing in a way that goes beyond just the muscle soreness due to their (excellent!) stresses on your cardiovascular and skeletal systems.
November 22, 2025 at 11:43 AM
Idk what's wrong with my deadlift, my bench and squat are about the same as yours but I've never been able to crack 135kg lmao

It's different! I don't feel like I'm in the trenches, I feel like I'm setting up artillery positions on a hill that my frontline sisters already stormed, burned and cleared.

I think that our faggotization requires scouring us from everyday society in a way that was difficult in 1995, at the trough of AIDS and before any kind of social media connected internet. I think that's exponentially harder now, every year.

Me? I could've repped for decades, for the rest of my life. I wouldn't have been happy, but I wouldn't have been miserable either. I think the proportion of cis men who would like to not be men is double digits, not single digits.
November 22, 2025 at 11:21 AM
I think you're underestimating the scope of it. When I talk to girls who came out 15-20 years ago, they're like marines storming a beach, they had to push forward or they'd fucking die.

It also undermines cis male class solidarity when men start seeing their friends switched out with new women.
November 22, 2025 at 11:09 AM
There are lots of "men" we can get to completely disidentify with the class of manhood, through the application of estradiol, mom jeans, and roller derby/rock climbing/videogame speedrunning
November 22, 2025 at 11:08 AM
We also have new technological avenues for making more women, using cis men as raw material.
November 22, 2025 at 11:08 AM
Oh hot damn lmao

women like it when your bag keeps almost slipping off your shoulder because of your oversized traps, and only stays in place because of your oversized delts
November 18, 2025 at 1:44 PM
women like it when you load your strict press with the 45lb plates
November 18, 2025 at 1:42 PM
women like it when you look like you can push-press bodyweight

—as long as you examine the fact that it led Greer to being an early superterf and an open pedophile
November 14, 2025 at 5:19 PM
Germaine Greer's whole sexual thesis statement was "liberated women are attracted to the kinds of men that they can treat like cis men treat cis women" and like, it's kind of interesting to examine that idea—

Like at scale that's millions of people but it still means that many people learn in spite of it, and millions more aren't sufficiently taught by normal phonics instruction
November 13, 2025 at 10:32 PM
I think it's useful to keep in mind that the drop in the reading age threshold from 2000 to 2019 is like. From 40% to 35%.

I'm fully of the opinion that for me personally, being trans was a concious choice. I gave being a girl a try and I turned out to like it better than being a boy.
