Never imagined I’d get into the Mixed Doubles Curling. Or that I’d be eagerly supporting Team GB in it

Stop saying the American Idiot album came out 21 years ago and that Billie Joe Armstrong is 53. You're lying. It was just a few years ago. Please.

Rewatching SW a while back, I came to the same conclusion. Similarly, I’ve come to realise how much Robocop is elevated by Basil Poledouris’ score. I mean, it’s a film made of many great parts but really listen to his cues….the tone, the motifs, etc. are just perfect
A year or so ago I said on here that Williams and Marcia Lucas’s editing were the true auteurs of Star Wars being a success and it got easily the most mad responses I’ve gotten on here to date and yet!
I mean, I can't even imagine who could have done it. I do wonder how in the world it would have worked with some 70s electronic/sf soundtrack vibes, and the answer is, likely enough, it just wouldn't. SW is an exercise in film nostalgia as much as anything else and needed a modern Korngold.

Any time I look to see what the Labour government is up to in the UK it turns out to be things like making posters that Alfonso Cuarón put in the background of the long tracking shot that opens “Children of Men”.

Last time I bought an Elektron Machinedrum UW and Monomachine (about 9 years ago), they were £500 each. Now they’re going for £2500….what caused such inflated prices?

My favorite artifact in the "you don't need AI to do art" discourse is, of course, screenwriter Dan O'Bannon's sketch of the facehugger to explain it to Giger.

Bluesky’s trending list is always bizarre. I can’t see how the current biggest topic on here is a screening of a William Castle film from 1959
