Normal pricing has been resumed. Albums £1 each, £3 for the bundle. Cheap & “cheerful” rough 90s #techno#IDM#house#ambient & a dribble of #techstep for all. I’ll shut up about it now…just needed a post to pin.

this was my ambient album. i made it with mostly Mutable Instruments modules and Eventide plugins. i've never listened to Music for Adverts & Short Films. of all my amateur hour music, it's the single thing i'm most pleased with, six years on palacetapes.bandcamp.com/album/social...

Always depressing to me how the median attitude among most people is close to “metoo went too far” when the most powerful man in the world is a rapist, and countless rich successful sports star / celebrity rapists get good press every week.
I remember being surprised at how much MeToo took over the minds of certain folks, and I guess I just severely underestimated the number of older men who regarded nonstop predation of younger women as their birthright
Lawrence Krauss being endearing again: "good news btw is that woman on conciliation committee seems like a sweetie.. she is old…. not some young metoo bitch."

I feel like a film about the pressure of fame on a young pop star descending into horror and madness was already done extremely well in last year’s SMILE 2
How we all laughed at the Melania box office figures and now it looks like the Charli XCX film has done at best the same, maybe worse.

Slow build on this. But then, in typical Carl Craig fashion, there's a really catchy hook that just nestles in your head like the world's nicest migraine. #raveyardshiftyoutu.be/GJjnAQLl9vQ?...
I’ve seen loads of YouTube demos in which they state the Octatrack is great but it sounds “bad”. And in every one, it’s obviously because they’ve got timestretch on for one shot 808 kick samples, or whacked all track volumes up full, or slapped the compressor on the Master channel. All user error

Game & Watch screens when you first put the batteries in:
Such a fun film to produce, with a truly great cast & crew. It was thanks to the late, great Jim Jacks that we were able to get the film made. He fought for our little film and so many others, including films by the Coen Brothers, Kevin Smith and Richard Linklater.

We just rewatched This is Spinal Tap for the first time in years. God, it’s perfect. Laugh-out-loud funny from top to toe of course, but the masterstroke is that the music is properly good, and despite everything they’re adorable. When Nigel rejoins them on stage at the end, it’s genuinely moving.

"Helicopter pilots were wounded pretty badly in the legs landing on the couple of machine gunners seemed to have make it through a thicket of bombs. But they were taken out rapidly by our snipers who stationed on platforms. Hellu-- actually unbelievable, helicopter platforms all the way the line"

Trying to make sense of this can cause extreme disorientation
It’s 28 years since I took my mum to the cinema to see Titanic and realised when we were queuing that it was Valentines Day and everyone there clearly thought we were on a date
