I just learned Gene Hackman passed away. The man was a master. About fifteen years ago I recorded a song entitled "Gene Hackman" (the first of a series of songs about celebrities). I gonna upload a new mix to my Bandcamp page soon.

this is an excellent point that explains why I get really sick of the reflexive use of “liberal” to describe everything and everyone you don’t like
there’s a valid critique here. Plenty of people who describe themselves as liberal because they believe everyone should have healthcare and housing. They are just using the language they have. When the terminally online lefty set show up to go “pffft!” at them, that’s a lost organizing opportunity

The students in the class I subbed today loved my cat jokes! I've never seen such cat joke enthusiasm before! They told each other cat jokes and clapped when I sang them the cat joke theme song!
