I love that the Grammy's have a category called "Record of the year". I frequently refer to songs as "records" and everyone laughs at me as hopelessly out of touch. But if a hip and groovy awards ceremony call them that as well, then it means I'm right and everyone else is wrong.

The inconsistency in the difficulty of the “easy” NYT Pips game is maddening. Sometimes it takes me 20 seconds and sometimes I give up because I can’t be bothered to waste the minutes it would take me to work it out.
