I went to a show at the Ryman and between the opener and the headliner, stood in a very long bathroom line with Nicole Kidman. Absolutely no one said a word to or acknowledged her.
Please quote this from the time you didn't interact with someone famous.

I was visiting with family in New Bedford, Massachusetts, at the same time that Mother Theresa was there visiting her Missionaries of Charity. The bishop held a Mass for her at the church where I was baptized. I didn't go.
Catching a train from Bristol Temple Meads, but they shifted the service along the platform because a scene from THE OUTLAWS was being shot where it would usually come in. The scene featured Christopher Walken and Stephen Merchant, but my train came before they shot it so I didn't see either of 'em.

I guess I lost track of Brigitte Bardot after my childhood where I learned that she was a famous hot lady from the past and am just catching up on her recent activities of loving animals, hating non-white people and being dead

Don’t know if anyone else is doing a big drive today but my new driving mix is done and it’s 13+ hours and imho it’s badass. Just PLEASE do not put it on shuffle, it’s very much meant to be heard in this sequence.

You may think the most astounding thing about this article is the fact that rats can come though your toilet but it’s actually the advice from Public Health:

“First, try to flush it away. If that proves difficult, then try throwing dish soap into the toilet to smooth the journey down.”

It's been a few years since I made an insanely long mix for the drive to NY but I'm doing it - I've got 129 songs sequenced so far, which is just over ten hours.

I have had Fred Again's "Victory Lap" stuck in my head all morning, but like only the part where Skepta says "Black. Swan. Darren Aronofsky." - which honestly, I don't mind.

Wow blast from the past - still thinking @lukewinkie.bsky.social's article about LCD Soundsystem and I found someone posted the setlist from the 2005 show I saw at Exit/In on Reddit! I think this guy, me, my sister, and @jensensportag.bsky.social (as "Bass Cop"-era openers) were the only ones there

Great read about aging with your favorite bands. LCD Soundsystem is also one of my faves, and while I know seeing them now will never feel as magical as it did in 2005 or 2010, getting to experience James Murphy DJing Despacio at III Points this year absolutely DID feel that magical.
I went to the Knockdown Center for the LCD Soundsystem residency and wrote about how, in very short order, my favorite band in the world became hopelessly cringe. (Still had a blast!)
