I met a gent at Bonnaroo one year who recognized my voice and then got teary and emotional, thanked me, and told me my radio show helped him get through a really difficult time in his life when he was doing some time for possession.

TN07 is a story about gerrymandering: the GOP cracked Nashville into 3 districts when it redrew the 2022 map, destroying the Dem seat there.
Fast-forward: a section of Nashville, which just 5 years ago had a Dem representative, is now voting Dem by huge margins but it's been designed to not matter.

Go Aftyn!!! Unfortunately I live on the wrong side of my street in Nashville to vote for Aftyn Behn (lol not really, though they gerrymandered the shit out of us in this town) but I love how hard everyone is rooting for us in TN!
We did a rewatch leading up to season 5 and let me tell you how excited I was to recognize so many background bird songs in the early seasons!!
Watched S5 E1 ("The Crawl") of #StrangerThings last night & was thrilled to see gorgeous examples of drill holes made by a yellow-bellied sapsucker (Sphyrapicus varius) in the trunk of what's likely a loblolly pine (Pinus taeda); Will Byers (Noah Schnapps) for scale. 🧪🌲🪵🐦🕳️

Wow. Excellent writeup on the white-tailed deer's fascinating digestive tract, and a solid scientific basis for why you shouldn't feed them - a carb-rich pile of corn can be so disruptive to their systems in the winter that it can actually kill a deer within 72 hours.
Last summer we went to DC to see Justice at a 6k person venue and had our minds blown by the best light show we’ve ever seen, and I walked out wondering how on earth all those lights could make for a profitable tour.
