Huge Democratic turnout drove Mikie Sherrill's massive in the NJ governor's race.
Anger at the current Administration drove these turnout numbers, just as it has in almost every election since 2009.

Anger at the President drove out party voters in New Jersey, just like they have in so many elections in recent years

Goodbye, Chas. We'll always have that catch.
The Astros have placed outfielder Chas McCormick on outright waivers, source tells @theathletic.com, along with John Rooney, Kenedy Corona, Luis Garcia and Pedro León.

Toronto needed a run (and need more). The Dodgers will score again.

Neither manager should have have had faith in their pitcher in the 4th.
Toronto got away with it thanks to their gloves. Los Angeles, not so much.

I don't have much faith in either pitcher right now. We'll see how long their managers do #WorldSeries

Hard agree. Im convinced that baseball players today, especially pitchers, are better than they have ever been.
This postseason has been a strong reminder that while the business of baseball right now is extremely frustrating and worrisome, the game itself and the players are the best it’s ever been. Every game has had moments that make you just shake your head that players can be this good.

The breakout star of the 2025 World Series is the breakout star of the 1965 World Series.
As great as last night was for Trey Yesavage and the Blue Jays, I was most grateful last night for all the proof of life shots of Sandy Koufax looking tanned, healthy and well.

Tension point in the game approaching. With the bullpen taxes from last night, both managers need length from their starters. But the third time though the order is here in the 5th.

I keep seeing all this talk about how that was Kershaw's final outing last night, and I'm sure the Dodgers would like that to be true, but he's one of the more rested arms available right now

Bring back Cavan Biggio.
If Guerrero, Bichette and Varsho are in the starting lineup it will be the first time in World Series history three sons of former players started for one team
