Bovino is so bad at this, and his weird little voice certainly doesn’t help
BOVINO: He was in the scene actively impeding and assaulting law enforceme--

BASH: But he wasn't impeding. He was filming, which is a legal thing to do in the United States

BOVINO: Dana, let's not free frame adjudicate this now

Notice the whole time in this interview that he calls Alex Pretti, who was shot at least 10 times, a "suspect"
BASH: Where did he assault an officer? It looked to us that he was approached by them when he was helping another individual who was pushed down

BOVINO: We don't need a suspect's help in a law enforcement scene

BASH: So when somebody is pushed down, you stand back?

BOVINO: Follow directions

Murphy on Bovino: "That was a bone-chilling interview. I was shaking while I was listening to it, in large part bc it takes just an unbelievable amount of gall to lie to the American public. Everybody saw that video ... it should freak the public out that the Trump administration lies this easily"

Chris Murphy: "This is really scary because what Bovino essentially told you is that if you just happen to be present when they are undertaking an operation, if you pull out your phone to record it, the use of force against you is justified. That is not true, it's not what the law says."

Saying there must be trials isn't just an emotive aspiration.

Congress can:
- Create a new court (complying w/ 6A jury vicinage)
- Give it jurisdiction over defined category of crimes
- Also create dedicated prosecutors for the same
- Strip SCOTUS of appellate jurisdiction

It can be done.

It’s their usual playbook.
They’ve given permission to their regime that anything goes to get Trump what he wants, including murder.
And if something bad happens, you will be protected from prosecution.
They did exactly the same thing after Renee Good’s murder.

Their immediate statements felt too easy, too perfectly stated, too... rehearsed. As if they knew a murder was to happen yesterday.

combine that with the human trafficking, because that's what it is when Epstein's network of ghouls are in charge.

The abyss is very deep and dark indeed.

We are explicitly mentioning ICE’s murder in cold blood of a man on the streets of Minneapolis this morning

NYT video review confirms this. Pretti had a 2nd Am right to carry a firearm. But even if he didn’t he wasn’t pointing it at anyone or threatening agents. There is no legal justification for the execution-style shooting & no basis for DHS’s claim he was there to massacre them. He was a helper.
Brandishing is a legal term that means to display all or part of a firearm, or otherwise make its presence known to another person to intimidate them, regardless of whether it's directly visible to that person. Given the video, that's not what Alex Pretti was doing when he was shot & killed.
Important context, this is the victim’s behavior BEFORE being tackled

He’s not threatening, he’s not brandishing, he’s filming

The killings of Renee Good & Alex Pretti show Trump's DHS culture is rotten to its core.

Trump, Vance, Noem, & Miller have made these agents feel immune from the consequences of their actions.

That must change. Everyone involved in these operations must be held accountable.
