Finally made the jump from the Bog of Eternal Stench.

Purveyor of bad jokes, lover of movies and books, frequently too tired to care about my own spelling.
I'm looking at the big fella at the back and all I can think is "Was he in Snatch?" #totp

I am increasingly of the opinion that people who change menus and look and feel of computer software just so that you know it's a new version should be personally forced to play tech support to my mother for five months.

Frankenstein movies have always left me cold and initially I thought that maybe Guillermo del Toro's new version was going to be more of the same, despite how gorgeous it all looks and the cast, however I really enjoyed the 2nd half of the movie, especially the performance of Jacob Elordi.

The reason Amazon can't get Bond up and running is because every supervillain their ai script generator comes up with is just Jeff Bezos in a variety of wigs.

I suspect there's also a strong element here of far too many journalists and BBC managers spending too much time on X and getting a wholly misleading impression of how big a story the Trump edits were. They're excessively influenced by right-wing activist opinion, and particularly US opinion.
The BBC is hopeless at reporting on itself. The idea that a minor, if misleading, edit is the most serious crisis in its history is ludicrous self-absorption, even allowing for the context of a Faragite desire to break it. It's certainly not as serious as the Iraq-Gilligan crisis.

It's a great irony that Panorama accurately reporting what Trump did 5 years ago angered the UK right-wing so much that they've just forced out one of their biggest allies in the BBC... Oopsy.

So basically the rest of the human race in #Pluribus are like Gene Wilder as Leo Bloom in The Producers, having a panic attack whenever someone shouts at them?

It's ok everyone, this happened in a State full of people who are totally fine with the idea of vaccinating against those diseases.

Delivery service saying 95% of what I ordered is out of stock so they're now sending a delivery guy to deliver the single item left from my order... 🤦‍♂️

why are people on the left using "populist" in a positive way now, you shouldn't want your politicians to be populists, "populism" isn't good

A House of Dynamite probably wasn't the best choice of films to watch just before going to bed. I think I'll cheer myself up by watching Threads or something...

Terrible news about Sheffield Wednesday. A grand old club brought to its knees by grossly incompetent and negligent ownership.
Sympathy to the supporters.

The Lost Bus is a terrible name for a film IMO but fortunately the film itself is pretty good.

I wonder how many times they had to reshoot the opening Roddy Ho scene of the new series of Slow Horses due to background actors suddenly bursting out laughing?

Can we now agree that the media is in fact a primary cause of stoking the problems in the world. Just reporting the news is no longer the case; they rival each other for clickbait from The Telegraph to The Guardian. It's disturbing to see how once respected outlets are provoking society's ills.

I'd hoped I'd love Alien Earth given some of the reviews of it but sadly I don't. Almost every character acts like they're stupid in order to push the plot along. Ok the 'kids' at least have an excuse for acting dumb but that crew in episode 5 were unremitting imbeciles. That's who Yutani sends???

I've had a look at the next ep and 'accidentally' just played the whole music video for the only decent artist on it so I'm out. Enjoy your evenings (when this dirgefest is over) #totp
