Solid data and and interesting topic. One for the primaries.
"In 2025, 40% of women aged 15 to 44 say they would move abroad permanently if they had the opportunity. The current figure is four times higher than the 10% who shared this desire in 2014, when it was generally in line with other age and gender groups."
Record Numbers of Younger Women Want to Leave the U.S.
The percentage of younger women in the U.S. who express a desire to migrate permanently has surged in the past decade.

Feels like every week I read a new story about illegal gold mining in rainforests. Speculation, consumerism, income inequality, and shifting economies have created this mess of incentives where people will sacrifice their last finger for a meal. uhg
Across parts of Venezuela, Indigenous communities have been drawn into gold mining as their traditional way of life has been disturbed and they lack other economic opportunities.

Armed groups and a push for extractives have turned the Imataca Forest Reserve into a mining hotspot.

Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

Do I have this right? Now the administration [Steven Miller] is using the few seconds SNAP was authorized as a "gotcha" crime and has essentially weaponized those distributions. All because states recognize food aid is always an immediate need and The Admin wants to play some sick political football
If they fought for health care half as hard as they do to keep food from hungry families, this whole mess would be solved by now.

Thank you. This is the science-driven common sense we need to shout out to the world and the politically apathetic so we can stop the harm. Not-so-coincidentally, RDs at the UC go on strike later this month. This WH administration fails at health, community, and well being. #nutrition #policy #labor
Today, alongside 16 organizations, #eatrightPRO calls on Congress to work quickly & collaboratively to resolve the current funding impasse & restore access to vital programs that protect the health & well-being of our communities.
