I hope a foreign democracy will kidnap our President if they ever decide he’s a criminal, who stole from his own people, used the military against them and tried to cling to power to enrich himself and his friends.

How about you guys?

It does not matter whether or not Venezuela is an authoritarian hellscape. Sovereignty is sovereignty

Afghanistan was run by the goddamn Taliban, worse in every way than Venezuela at it's worst, and forcing regime change was wrong there too

As a veteran, I say this:

All active duty troops involved in the illegal attack on Venezuela, and illegal abduction of the democratically elected President of that country, are by definition war criminals.

Commanders should have disobeyed illegal orders.

Troops should do so going forward.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

Venezuela opposition reports the so called "capture" of Maduro was a negotiated deal between Maduro and US for an agreed exit strategy. We reported in November that this would be the case. The US bombed Venezuelan service members as part of a death theatre. #VenezuelaInvasion

Tonight, the President of the United States has launched an unconstitutional war of aggression, dooming another generation to spill their blood for oil, and lay waste to a sovereign nation.

I demand that Congress exercise its power, halt this conflict, and impeach this war criminal president.
