i use dxo filmpack for film emulation on some shots and do no other editing. when i remember, i mark what camera and lens i used. i do use lens correction profiles sometimes. I do not use generative tools generally, and anything using them will be clearly marked.

Sorry but anyone who tries to tell you (leftistly) that Calhoun is a more authentic exemplar of the American political tradition than Frederick Douglass is a wrecker.

It apparently broke some peoples’ brains to learn that Japanese-Americans not only voluntarily served in WWII, but did so proudly.

In Arizona, there is a small museum, and when I visited, they had two exhibits: A showcase of a local indigenous artist, and a frank discussion of the Japanese internment camp that had once stood only a few miles away. In other countries, how many would simply politely not mention their past?
we built monuments to MLK and buried our honored dead on a traitor's plantation.

we established three national parks which ensure we never forget our illegal imprisonment of Japanese-Americans.

our nation has done great wrongs. time and again, brave Americans have stood up to end them.

One of the bones I am endlessly picking is that people think South Korea like, did a Righteous Reverse Coup. No! The party *with the power to do so* did legal things, baked into their laws, to eject their criminal president. They didn't just Fight some phantom amount of Harder!

I'm car people. i still want there to be good enough public transit that i can take public transit to my favorite restaurants on occasion
I think it's pretty remarkable how, despite the trillions of dollars we've spent and the century of constant campaigning we've been subjected to in order convince us otherwise, some part of us *still knows* that car dependency is a terrible way to live, and most people still don't want it.
Survey: Most Americans Are Open To Ditching Their Cars — Streetsblog USA
Automakers have spent a century and countless trillions of dollars making car-dependent living the American norm. But U.S. resident still aren't sold, a new survey suggests.

people have got to internalize that there are no takesie-backsies on Nov. 5, 2024. there is nothing Democratic Congressional minorities can do to stop ICE if Republicans are united in opposition.

the only way to do anything is to peel off Republicans - and they aren't peeling off to stop ICE.
