I am pleased to announce that I'm part of an anthology with the Right Here Write Queer podcast folks!

An Outstretched Hand: A Tarot Spread of Queer Stories is an anthology based on tarot cards that each of us pulled. With less than a month to go, stay tuned to hear more about this project. (1/2)

Back from my trip to see Macbeth! It was a wonderful production. Before the show, I visited the lovely queer and feminist bookstore, Book Woman and got a few books! Overall, a fantastic day!

It's Aro Awareness Week! Shout out to my fellow Aros!

If you like fiction about aromantic characters -with partners and or friends- 23 of us (mostly aro ourselves) have put a book in this bundle.

The aro(aces) in my book, Manipulator's War, are building friendships.

said it before and I'll say it again; first time listening to the narration of my own book is the closest I'll ever get to reading it like a new reader

Recently listened to this and I loved it so much I set my friends upon it and obtained a paperback for my shelf
Thank you to everyone who recommended Sorcery and Small Magics. It was my read on a plane ride. The flight flew by, but I also cried. I mean, tears streaming down my face, crying. That f—ing ending!! I was agog. Highly recommend @orbitbooksuk.bsky.social @maigadoocy.bsky.social

Having gone through two personal level crises when trying to promote a new book during years with large-level crises also going on (2020 and this year), I imagine so many great books/authors have gotten lost for similar reasons. It's hard out there for authors, so please shout about books you love.

This “queer tales” series has been a labor of love since we founded Neon Hemlock in 2019.

GLITTER + ASHES: QUEER TALES OF A WORLD THAT WOULDN’T DIE was sorta the first, but it stole the series title from…

Yes it’s Valentine’s Day. But it’s also the chosen birthday of Frederick Douglass who was born in 1818 on a plantation in Talbot County, Maryland. He escaped from slavery & rose to become the most eloquent and forceful voice for the abolition of slavery & for Black voting rights in the U.S.

"Be yourself! Write the stories only you can tell!"

Sure, I can do that.

"But nothing too dark, and it had damn well better have a happy ending!"

Well dude, make your mind up, you can't have both.

“You look happier.”

Thank you. I stopped listening to advice like “you can’t blend horror and romance” and “sapphic books don’t sell” and wrote a sapphic horror romance where they fall in love while one is changing into an Innsmouth fish monster. And there’s body horror.

It is Black History Month, and today I bring you a plethora of queer books written by Black authors.

I personally loved Icarus, Black Leopard Red Wolf, Work For It, and Somewhere in the Gray Area. (1/2)

Old Grieving Mercenary and his Scary Forest Creature, aka the short story Temperance, is one of my favorites. There's botanical body horror, mischievous creatures, and well ... the memes say it all 🔥🌿❄️
