I didn't even think about this and it's very true. There's no way a lot of these stores will get away with selling us the bullshit that they do if we had the opportunity to inspect it before we bought it
Same because I'm being robbed of the opportunity to look at the quality of the product before I buy it and I would gladly give up convenience for quality

My stepfather's father died in his early 50s and the patriarch crown was immediately placed on him. That man has no identity besides "provider" bc everyone around him drained him of every resource and are STILL doing it. That shit is heavy, unfair, and I refuse.
My family literally sat me down and told me they were raising me to be the next patriarch when I was 14 so some of my views are definitely gonna be modern spins on old fashioned stuff. I’m working on it with the lady though.

My favorite podcast did a show with the author about the book and about how white women owned slaves because that was the only thing that they could own. They weren't allowed to own real estate. If you haven't read the book this is a really good place to start.

The blacksky.community web app has been updated to support OAuth login. This means we have gotten rid of the "Hosting Provider" field when signing into our app, making it more straightforward to use our app even if you aren't yet hosted on our PDS (e.g. if you have a *.bsky.social handle)

I’m finally reading BLOOD IN THE MACHINE about the Luddite uprisings and what’s striking is that the objection was a moral one. It was wrong to destroy communities for a few guys to have more money.
