Deeply funny that Donald Trump is a symptom of the utter legislative paralysis that has crushed this country since the 80s, and he might also end up being the cure.

Lets not sprain our arms patting ourselves on the back for seeing the "real" reasons. It can be true. But, at the same time what's also true is that successful products adapt to the world that exists, and that world has been built for the human body. Few will renovate their house for a iFuddrucker
honestly it's basically because we want drop-in replacements for human labour that can be butlers, i feel
This is some fucked up nonsense, but also: why the obsession with humanoid robots? Human bodies are generalists. We do a lot of things pretty well instead of a few things incredibly well, and it really seems like robots should lean into specialization.

Federal services being shuttered for more than even 3 months will probably produce enough legislator corspes that personal self preservation instincts will take over. Not just from the hungery masses and unpaid workers, but all the busines stakeholders who aren't part of the inner grift circle.
it's why those rumors bouncing around Beltway media of an indefinite shutdown til midterms are more than a little concerning
big boy money is willing to give benefit of the doubt for a little bit but a full fucking year? with the President spending who knows what money? idk about that one

I just can't help but find it wasteful when the media consumed could instead be preparing you to be an anarchist bomb thrower or to getting blown up by anarchist bomb thrower or to dying in a great flood of molasses.
i was reminded of this controversy recently and have become much more anti-anti-cozy

Genuinely you can map the infection of the Cooonsumerist mindset onto people based upon how much someone hates Paradox's DLC policy.
"I should get to reap the rewards of a decade of developement for the same cost of a game upon release!"

AAA video games should cost $100 on launch. this would still be extremely cheap for the amount of time and enjoyment you get out of them! But an audience of whiny babies has kept them literally at the same price for *two decades* despite both general inflation *and* sector-specific costs rising

If this country goes through a period of actual hunger it will shatter lives and leave scars that will not heal. Hunger is also the one thing that always overrides internal ideology as a motivator. If we as a society are incapable of not playing games with hunger then it will humble us utterly.
I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.

The disney lizardmen and jay jay the franchise killer did more damage to the sequel trilogies viability than the TFA and RoS combined. They managed to create a canon so dogshit it disengaged the freaks and the nerds that breathe life into a franchise. Sequel trilogy was DOA
Honestly, all I want out of Star Wars post prequels is a warring states period where creatives and gamers have permission to make their own weird little microfactions. The sequels suck for gaming because they explicitly rule out cool stuff happening anywhere else.

They just are common touchpoints that intersect with the higher dimensional vectorspaces a lot in a way thats useful for meaning vector operations that occur within models frequently thats emojis are used so much they lie along a ton of the vector spaces.
i suspect that words (when used in this way) are more like opcodes than "words," representing various directions on the manifold rather than discrete concepts. i am skeptical of the idea that they are meaningless.

i WILL get elected on a platform centered around equality, making radio the main form of media consumption again, and what the media will grudgingly quote as "getting all that iphone shit out of the damn cars"
Honestly?
At this point, I think this is a not laughable probability given your level of sitcom bullshit

Most of the opsec people tend to model their tactics after the Hong Kong protestors, which is fine except the Hong Kong protesters just lost. Protest is supposed to be a sacrificial act, you sacrifice your time, wages, and social standing. It's the sacrifice that really makes people pay attention.
lol people HATE this post so much but actually you can safely do this
There’s going to be several million people at these protests. If you’re not doing crimes, if you’re standing with a bunch of retirees in front of the mall or wherever, you can take the picture and share it.

Your grandchildren will speak about you for generations to come. You took a stand against fascism. You stood up for democracy.
