While actually existing international law says this is a clear violation of actually existing international law, Israel says: "nuh uh"
While the ICC calls Israel's West Bank settlements violations of international law, Israel obviously doesn't agree. Before the Six-Day War in 1967, the West Bank was occupied by the Jordanian military. Many of the people there now are its descendants, and they have claimed permanent refugee status.

You don't gotta hand it to Peter Casey, he's an awful man. Compared to Steen in this specific instance, he did try (and fail) to run for election a few times after his unsuccessful Áras run. So he wasn't completely taking the piss, he was just a bad guy.

She's a bad person AND taking the piss.

In case you missed it, our Irish Fine Gael MEPs voted with the far right on this one. #speirgorm
For the first time, the European Parliament passed major legislation with a coordinated majority between the centre-right EPP and far-right groups, breaking the long-standing pro-EU coalition that installed von der Leyen.

So the sole human destiny is to keep on killing off nature until the biosphere collapses, and us with it?

Sorry, but I believe in another future, in which *both* nature and people thrive.

It IS possible.
You can't prioritize both. That's what 200,000 years of human species tells us. We are an apex predator and an invasive species. Now we may decry the effect of that on other species but...
