I can't stress enough that the joy of vinyl and paper books is that they cannot bother you through them. You pay once and they shut up. It is GLORIOUS. Their very nature makes them unbreakable ad blockers. They will never be deactivated or turned into a subscription. You just have it
There has been a movement back toward "traditional media" - vinyl, but also CDs, DVDs, and books. Why? Because digital media were hyped as having all this convenience, and they do...but we've also seen that they're controlled by companies who want your money and won't stop trying to take it.

The Bone Temple, the new 28 Years Later movie, is excellent. Ralph Fiennes is exceptional, Alex Garland’s script surprising and poignant and Nia DaCosta’s direction confident and relentless. Aaron Taylor Johnson and Chi Lewis-Parry and the rest of the cast are wonderful, too. Truly great.
