Real human people were happy and willing to make subtitles in a variety of languages for free, and the creator had full control of what submissions were used

It finally happened. I finally ran into a Youtube video with that awful auto-dubbing feature turned on.
The video is an interview and it's... not even watchable now. Like the auto-dubbing is just saying random nonsensical words. 😭
Why did they ever think this was a good feature to implement?

Update: it was worth it for Virtua Cop 2.
Ordered this @polymega lightgun in August 2021.
It was delivered today, nearly 4 1/2 years later… 🤷
Sadly it didn’t work out of the box, since the Polymega won’t install the needed firmware update via WiFi. 😅
Will go on a hunt for the longest Ethernet cable.
