They just posted! Going to get a little piece of baked joy.
Last week the CCFM had my favoritest blueberry muffins from a vendor that hasn't been in a long time. My dear friend picked them up for me.
But should I try to go today and see if they're there?

Estos cerotes hijos de puta aprenderán que en nuestra ciudad no se mete con la comunidad!
This is what our current fascist administration is doing to our local communities. A staple in mid for almost 20 years has to close down their shop just to protect their workers from the Nazis that will begin conducting raids in New Orleans tomorrow. Please support them today if you are in town.

At the University of Zurich, researchers followed 64 COVID-19 patients and found that T cells stayed abnormally activated for at least 6 to 12 months after infection due to disrupted cytokine signals, unlike what is seen after vaccination.

Dysregulation of homeostatic cytokine receptors drives prolonged T cell activation following acute SARS-CoV-2 infection in humans - Nature Communications
Acute viral infections induce the activation and expansion of virus-specific T cells which eventually abate, but in some situations can persist. Here the authors show a dysregulation of homeostatic cy...

In 1938, a New York Times reporter warned:

“When and if fascism comes to America it will not be labeled ‘made in Germany’; it will not be marked with a swastika; it will not even be called fascism; it will be called, of course, ‘Americanism’.”

The problem with ICE is not that it's targeting people who aren't criminals. The problem with ICE is that it's an unaccountable secret deportation police. It cannot be reformed under a better president. It can be made less terrible, but the instrument of repression remains for the next tyrant.

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.
