Friends if you are a Christian now is the time to speak out about Christian Nationalism. There are both a national organization and in Michigan you can join us as we start in person local groups. I'll link to both groups in the comments.

Note the framing here:

It’s “Democrats have refused to fund” DHS and not “Republicans refused to prohibit face masks” or “the two parties could not agree on how to reform the agency.”

The Transfiguration is an odd story. What do we do with such a strange tale?
Listen to Him!
Sometimes stories in the Bible are hard to grasp. Perhaps the cultural context is so different we have trouble understanding it. Perhaps the text challenges some deeply held belief or a long held a…

Is this a trick question?
Is there anyone in the Trump admin who isn’t a complete scumbag?
February 13, 2026 at 7:23 PM
What?
Trump: We're also purchasing 30 new and modified Abrams tanks. Was named in honor of Stacey Abrams. Only a few very political people would understand that. Congratulations. Thank you very much for a great name, Stacey.

That should be fine, right?😳
Trump has nominated Jeremy Carl to serve as Assistant Secretary of State for International Organizations. This guy. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
In the “private sector,” there “needs to be a presumption that people are allowed to discriminate,” meaning that they get to “make a choice about This & not That, & that as long as the govt is not doing that, that should be a permissible thing” - Claremont fellow Jeremy Carl

He adds that…. 1/

It's not a new observation at this point but that wild Noem/Lewandowski story in WSJ really brings home the extent to which all the Trump 2 cabinet-level goblins see their jobs as flying private, doing short-form video, and screaming at underlings. They all hate each other and none of them can read.

EXCLUSIVE from me: A group of 40-plus Catholic Democrats have issued what amounts to a theological rebuke of Speaker Mike Johnson’s recent theological defense of Trump’s immigration agenda, outlining religious principles they suggest compel them to reform ICE. religionnews.com/2026/02/13/c...

If ICE still stands for "Immigration and Customs Enforcement" then why do Republicans want them anywhere near a polling location?
Because lawless ICE goons are harassing, arresting, and murdering people who are citizens, you idiot.

This is a helpful explainer
The federal judiciary consists of 3 levels with SCOTUS at the top, US Courts of Appeals (~179 judges), US District Courts (~677 judges). But District Cts even w/ Trump appointed judges have been ruling for immigrants in large numbers. Why? Each level of cts has a distinct institutional context. 1/
Judges have mostly rejected the government’s attempt to detain anyone who is black or brown. As of early January (the last time anyone had time to count) 300 judges in 1000s of decisions rejected the government’s arguments. Less than a dozen permit it.

You can't... repeal... a scientific finding. At that point it's just called lying about it.

Pay attention. Contact your senators
I read the Trump-backed voter suppression bill, the so-called “Save America Act,” so you don’t have to. Here’s my summary. Please tell your Senators to vote NO on this abomination: 202-224-3121. TY. 1/

I know cis people don't realize the cruelty, so with gentleness and empathy for them, let me try to explain.

Being trans is difficult. Instinctively, you already know this because you think it would be better not to be trans.
“We would expect support for full social transition to be agreed very rarely”
There you have it, the gov wants trans kids to rot in the closet

Not to mention that showing ID to buy beer is proof of age. Not proof of citizenship.
These dudes think this is so clever.

Beyond the difference in harms that accompanies the age limits for booze and voting, there were 26,000+ arrests of minors for liquor law violations in 2019. It’s a relatively common crime.

There are functionally no arrests each year for in-person voter fraud.
Rep. Brian Steil: "I flew home to my home state of Wisconsin, went to buy a 6 pack a beer, the clerk asked for my ID, confirmed it, and then I was allowed to buy the beer. I just think it's nuts that we protect our beer more than our ballots."

This seems problematic
CNN confirms what MSNBC reported live a few hours ago: DOJ is surveilling Dem lawmakers when they go to the DOJ to search unredacted Epstein files.
CNN: "Another photograph - these are notes AG Bondi brought to the hearing today. This shows a list of Rep. Jayapal's search history. Lawmakers are allowed to go to a DOJ facility to search unredacted files. We learned from this photo that the searches are apparently being tracked & read by the DOJ"

Burgum: "CO2 was never a pollutant. When we breathe, we emit CO2. Plants need CO2 to survive and grow. They thrive with more CO2. So the whole endangerment thing opens up an opportunity for the revival of clean, beautiful, American coal."
