An underappreciated thing, I think, is that OpenAI wasn't the first to the technology, it was just the first to both have the technology and be recklessly irresponsible enough to actually release it as a product

Overly-broad NDAs are widespread in the industry, and if companies are able to stick in court that they can interpret talking about your woking conditions as "leaking confidential information" that's an avenue they'll pursue to disrupt organizing.

Another day in “forced AI is stupid and makes our lives worse”:
I kept trying to write “10s =” like multiple tens, and Apple AI keeps converting it to minutes. Drove me nuts because it’s a keyboard autoreplace — you cannot just erase & correct it, you have to type a stupid workaround with no spaces
