Hey Fellow 🇨🇦 Miscreants

The Senate's trying to slip Bill S-209 through on the down-low, and it's basically a photostatic copy of the UK's Online Safety Act except worse because they're making your ISP do it (Telus, Rogers, et al)

Time to start raising hell on our own soil now.

Happy Pride Month to everyone else who is also chronically ill and high risk and unable to participate in Pride Month festivities because folks won't mask. I see you. Your love is still valid. And to everyone else who can safely attend events this month, please mask up.

Enamoured by how the back of this sriracha bottle describes the sensation of eating chilies, as if introducing the concept of spicy food to someone totally unfamiliar with the notion.

my article on the Palette Grid (which explores my dissatisfaction with lines and veils, and which opens up new approaches to discussing safety during play) is now available for the general public:

My advice: Get a robe with pockets. What are you keeping in there? earbuds? a smooth and perfect chestnut? a love letter? two love letters? an enchanted knife? a little mouse friend? It could be anything.

A friend not only read all my fic for my current D&D character, she told me that she enjoyed it AND complimented my writing. I was blushing and giggling. I will live off this feeling for a week.

Affirm your writer pals. You will win their heart AND you'll likely get more writing to read. Win-win!

There are two easy things you can do to make BlueSky more accessible

Capitalise each word in your hashtags so that screen readers can decipher them. If you dont, they are read out letter by letter

Add Alt Text to your images. There is an option in settings to remind you to do this before you post

The boys had a park day outing in the summer. Jiji was thriving and had a generally great time. Boo is still getting the hang out outdoor adventures, so he mostly wanted to hang out beneath bushes and was relieved to go home. They both napped so hard that day.
